Allow Event Categories to generate their own event number sequence.

Allowing each event category to have it's own numbering sequence and the ability to assign a numbering format for each category using a mix of alpha/numeric). This allows a category to align to a specific identification format provided by a client or internal system. Each event category can then align to things such as a variation or day works register where key stakeholders can receive reports that are not missing event numbers from the sequence. Currently the numbering seqence is global across all event categories.

    Hi Jay,

    We would typically recommend using the "External Reference" to hold a separate client/internal system reference number.

    Also, for users of the mobile app, they would need to be aware of this "new" Event sequencing number in order to submit their Event and there would be potential for duplicates.

    At this stage, this is not a feature that we will consider implementing however we will maintain the record for future reference.
