Bulk Edit Forms

Description

Enable users to perform bulk updates on multiple issues (Forms) in a single action within Bentley Infrastructure Cloud. This capability allows users to select multiple issues and apply consistent changes—such as status, assignee, priority, due date, or suppression—without requiring manual one‑by‑one updates.

This feature is critical to support large-scale coordination workflows where hundreds or thousands of issues must be managed efficiently, particularly during major model updates or clash review cycles.

Problem Statement

Current workflows require manual, individual updates of issues, resulting in:

  • Significant administrative effort at scale

  • Increased coordination cost and resourcing requirements

  • High risk of inconsistent issue status and reporting

  • Poor scalability as issue volumes grow

  • Customer dissatisfaction and resistance to adopting the platform

The lack of native bulk update capability is a key gap compared to competitor tools and is impacting adoption on major infrastructure projects.

User Value / Outcomes

  • Reduced effort: Update hundreds of issues in seconds instead of hours

  • Consistency: Ensure uniform status, assignments, and priorities across issues

  • Faster response: Rapidly react to design changes (bulk close, reassign, reprioritise)

  • Scalability: Enable efficient issue management on large infrastructure projects

  • Improved confidence: Cleaner reporting and more reliable dashboards

Key Capabilities (MVP)

  • Multi-select issues from Issue Tracker and/or 3D context

  • Apply bulk changes in a single action:

    • Status (open / closed / suppressed)

    • Assignee

    • Priority

    • Due date

    • Tags / classification

  • Support both:

    • Standard issues

    • Clash-generated issues

  • Immediate and consistent update across all selected issues

  • Attach files
